My first scrapbook is a big project for me.
No I didn’t make a typo, it still IS.
The main goal is not to get the book done, but a project to let my creativity flow.
The scrapbook will contain photo’s of a racing experience day.
A present I gave my boyfriend for our anniversary and Valentines day a couple of years ago.
It’s still my first project, and since it’s not a popular theme to scrap about
(not in the Netherlands anyway) I got stuck very quickly.
Because it contains photo’s of my boyfriend, my challenge is not to make it look childish.
This forced me to think outside the box if I wanted to make it interesting
and not just past the photo’s without any additions (embellishments or pretty paper).
This out of the box thinking resulted in several things;
* Cut every single letter for titles by hand what made me buy my Silhouette Cameo;
* Start cardmaking, because I see a card as a mini embellished scrapbookpage
* Popups, flip- & pull tabs to make a simple page more interesting
* Use washi tape as a simple addition to a photopage
This weekend I really wanted to finish another page.
And, since I scrapped on the couch, there were paper scraps everywhere
and I sat on my scissors a couple of times. No one/nothing was pierced..
On Pinterest I’ve made a board so you can see I materials and some pictures of my progress so far.
I’ve been updating my Pinterest boards in the past weeks.
I hope you’ll take a look at my addictions for paper, Disney and kittens.
Take care and thanks for stopping by.
