Cutting Cardboard FAIL

Trial, error and an ugly outcome. Today I decided to try to cut cardboard with my well loved Silhouette Cameo. They’re for my friend who found a quote online and wanted to use chipboard pieces on a mixed media canvas. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, my Silhouette Cameo spat out this horrifying outcome;

I checked my settings. The standard settings for heavy coverstock; Speed was set on 1, thickness 33, double cut was on and track enhancing was off. I set the blade to 10 but it still didn’t cut all the way through. So, now I’m trying again. This time without a mat. I’ll keep trying and will let you know when I’ve found a way to make it work. Will not be today, because the cutting takes forever.. let me know in the comments if you have any tips. Don’t forget to subscribe if you like the content of this blog. Thanks for stopping by and take care!
