Grim Fandango: Remastered Episode 5

What can you expect from this episode?
IMPORTANT before you read any further: SPOILER ALERT!! (duh)..

In this Episode we get to know Meche, get locked up in the garage, find out the system of the DOD is corrupted and meet the underground rebels.

What have we / has Manny actually accomplished? We don’t meet our sales quota, climb up the roof and break in to our boss’s office, pimp-out a company car to a hot rod, insult a client in front of our boss, tamper with the message system by putting hazardous chemicals in the tubes, stole a sale from a colleague and now we’ve screwed up so much, that our saint Meche misses her lifetime reward on the Number Nine train. I think it’s safe to say that we lost our job, maybe even got Glottis fired as well. The cherry on top is that we’re now involved in an underground rebel group.. Are we the good guy here or what?

The Characters
This episode was more cutscenes than gameplay, but still some interesting new faces and character updates;

Mercedes (Meche) Colomar
The client Manny stole from Domino. She’s been a saint here whole life, a goody two shoes with a clean record. For some strange reason Manny can’t find her a ticket she deserves and she started her four year journey by walking off alone and unprotected.

Salvador Limones
An ex-reaper and leader of a rebel group called the Lost Souls Alliance (LSA), trying to stop corruption regarding the missing golden tickets and dirty money. Very interested in Manny’s teeth and carrier pigeons.

Eva
The boss’s secretary. In Episode 1, she stutters when Manny asks here if she’s been working for another man. Now we find out she’s a spy for the LSA. Together with Salvador, they form the complete team of the LSA.

Manny’s Mexican Lingo
Phrases learned in this episode.
* Precisamente – Exactly
* Viva la Revolución! – Long live the revolution

That’s it for now. Please check out my video, like, subscribe and hay te haucho!
